Pakistani singer Mustafa Zahid, who has sung three tracks in Mahesh Bhatt's forthcoming production venture "Blood Money", praises the Indian film industry saying it welcomes fresh talent with open arms and he too had no problems in working here. "I had no difficulty working in the Indian music industry. I had my own room for creativity and all the people were very cooperative during recording of my songs," Zahid told IANS.

Former Hollywood action star Arnold Schwarzenegger Thursday invoked Mahatma Gandhi's non-violence movement as a perfect example to start a global green energy campaign to fight climate change. Speaking at the 12th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit here, the former governor of California said that he is on a mission to spread awareness about clean and green energy.

Bollywood veterans Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi are among 109 civilians who will be honoured with the Padma awards, the government announced on Wednesday. Actors Dharmendra, Azmi and film-maker Mira Nair have been chosen for the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian award. Musician Bhupen Hazarika and cartoonist Mario Miranda have been posthumously honoured with the Padma Vibhushan, the nation's second highest civilian award.

Bollywood stars better watch out. Movie fans in India are handing out their own version of the Razzies, the annual Oscars spoof that spotlights Hollywood's worst performances. While watching Katrina Kaif gyrating to “Chikni Chameli”, more than halfway through Karan Malhotra’s “Agneepath”, I couldn’t help but wonder about the similarities between the song and the film. Both are adaptations of an original product (“Chikni Chameli” has been adapted from a popular Marathi song), both have ample production value and some great moves, but they are also ample proof that remaking an original may not always work.

Producers of an upcoming music-based reality show "Sur-kshetra" were hoping to bring to India some well-known artists from Pakistan. But the plans have gone for a toss, after the numerous controversies that Pakistani artists have been getting embroiled in within the country, forcing the makers to shoot the show in Dubai.
