– NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. t was a perfect blend of culture, glamour and patriotism as dance schools from the tristate area went head to head to prove their mettle at the State Theater here Jan. 28. The event was “Dance Pe Chance,”   the annual contest that features the best dance talent.

Swedish pop group ABBA are to release a new version of their last album, featuring a previously unreleased track for the first time since 1994, the group's website said on Wednesday. ABBA remain one of the world's most popular bands and their music got a new lease of life with the "Mamma Mia" stage show and film. The band's website said a deluxe edition of their final album, "The Visitors", would be released in April.

Producers of an upcoming music-based reality show "Sur-kshetra" were hoping to bring to India some well-known artists from Pakistan. Conceptual and multi-media artist Yoko Ono, wife of late Beatles icon John Lennon, is the shining star of the 60th anniversary celebrations of India-Japan friendship that began Jan 1. The three-month celebrations, "Passage to the Next Generation", will bring to the capital Yoko Ono's "Our Beautiful Daughters", an art project to spread the message of gender empowerment.

"Chammak Challo", the popular number from Shah Rukh Khan's mega-budget production venture "RA.One", has been named the most downloaded song and video of the year in a new survey by wireless telephony major Airtel. Performed by international singer Akon, the peppy number featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor topped the list of the most downloaded songs followed "Dhinka chika", "Senorita", "Zor ka jhatka haye" and "Teri meri meri teri".
